Regular Season Round 3: Derby - Split 85-77

The biggest surprise of round 3 in ABA League took place in Podgorica where host MontenegrinDerby (1-2) beat Croatian Split (0-3) 85-77 on Sunday evening. Derby looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Aleksa Ilic (204-1996) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Bosnian swingman Amar Gegic (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was German-Croatian center Leon Radosevic (208-1990) who recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Bosnian-Croatian forward Dario Dreznjak (204-1998) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
